The Sacramento Kings Off-Season News Nba%20draft%20logo%202007
The Sacramento Kings received the NBA Fantasy Draft's 29th Overall Pick. The Kings organization is disappointed at the pick they received. Following the Draft Lottery, Geoff Petrie said that the 28 picks before the Kings have more potential in achieving a player with great standards. Petrie announced that he will be resigning from the organization. During the press conference, Petrie retorted, "This has no potential with this kind of pick. What can they get? A Shareef Abdur-Rahim? I think not."

Hours after the resignation of Petrie, the Kings acquired General Manager Enterprise. GM Enterprise has great potential according the Kings owners. Immediately after the acquisition, Enterprise started shopping for a new draft pick to get a better player with potential to jump start this team after being unable to reach the NBA Playoffs.

---------------------------
Enterprise announced that he will be putting their 1st round pick and 2nd round pick in favor of having a Top 15 Overall Pick in the Fantasy Draft. He is still waiting for a reply from other teams. There have been speculations that the Kings are looking for a Top 15 Pick to draft Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, or Kevin Garnett. No news yet on whether any team has any interest on picking up the 29th overall pick or 58th overall pick.

So far into the first 4 rounds of the fantasy draft, the Kings have picked up T-Mac, Al Harrington, Jose Calderon, and Stephen Jackson. Right the 5th round is in progress and there are speculations that the Kings are looking forward to draft Rafer Alston, Jason Maxiel, or Drew Gooden. No word yet as the draft is only up to the Jazz right now.
