Golden State Warriors Off Season News Thread

Welcome to the Golden State Warriors News Network, It is just days before the Draft and the Warriors are hastily preparing for what should be one of the most interesting drafts in years.

With Coach Don Nelson and General Manager Utoracat the Warriors are sure to want to run and gun as always.

This Year however the warriors know they must up their defense if they are going to go all the way. Along with this Coach Nelson always appreciates seasoned veterans who can play a multiple of positions, pass well and shoot the long ball.

General Manager however is more defense orientated with his focus being on long athletic players who bring it every night on both ends of the court.

How these two philosophies combine will be interesting to see over the upcoming weeks. What can be certain is though whatever team the warriors put out onto the floor they will be entertaining as always.

Warriors receive 8th pick in the Fantasy draft.

Today it was announced that the Warrior will draft 8th in the upcoming fantasy draft.

GM Utoracat has stated that he is reasonably happy with the pick, "There are going to be alot of solid players around at that point in the draft and we think that we will be able to get alot of our type of players at that point in the draft."

Coach Don Nelson was unable to comment as he was passed out under a coconut tree at his Maui beach house. Sources however have said that he may have uttered the words " Pick 8 we should be able to get Sprewell and Webber!" Shortly after he was sedated.

Today in the fantasy draft The Golden State Warriors drafted Foward Amare Stoudamire, the power foward was picked 8th overall.

GM Utoracat was quoted as saying that Stoudamire was the perfect power forward for the run and gun style that the Warriors love.

Don Nelson was getting drunk with Willie Nelson's Dog and was unable for comment, a source close to him (his wife) stated that Nelson has loved Stoudamire for a long time because "He doesnt play a lick of Defence he is perfect for my style!"
